Guided tour of the reunification monument

Our visit begins with a guided tour of the reunification monument. A monument that marks unity in the diversity of Cameroon. We will decode the artists' vision and symbols through the pillars of unity before reaching the top to the unity point to capture the view of the city.

Exposure of the colonial past

During the exhibition of the colonial past, our guide will take you through the arrival of the Germans and the different shades of blood that took place in Yaoundé.

View of the ancient presidential palace

Our guide will tell you the history of the former presidential palace, now known as the national museum. You will also learn about the origins of all the names given to Yaoundé.

Place of independence

We will stop at the place where President Ahmadou Ahidjo proclaimed Cameroon's independence. Our guide will detail and comment live on the symbols engraved on the monument.

Lorraine Cross

The Cross of Lorraine monument "Cross with a double horizontal bar, a monument of Germanic origin, but which, curiously, was adopted by the French Resistance as an emblem. It was the symbol of a movement that liberated France, the power that seized the "Tutelage" and then the "Mandate" of colonial France over Cameroon, it was also the gathering point of Cameroonian riflemen who fought on the side of France.

We will have a guided tour of the unity monument built in 2021.

As we progress towards the end of the tour, you will stop at the top of Mount Febe and capture the view of the city of Yaoundé. From here you will see the unity monument, the unity palace (current residence of the head of state), the congress palace, and all the little details of the city of yaoundé.
