Overview

In this programme, we take you on an escape to discover two tourist sites.
The first is a natural site steeped in memory and linked to the martyrs of the conquest of Cameroon’s independence: the Metché Falls.
The second is a sacred site for the local Grassfield people. The Bassossia cave offers a magnificent view over an area of Bafoussam.
It’s time to enjoy this day out with family, friends or on your own.

What you should expect

Dschang - Métché Falls

It's a 50-minute drive.
On arrival, we will visit the waterfall and the guide will give a talk on the historical aspect of the site. This will add to the commentary on the environment that grips the visitor. The site contains many cultural elements needed for rituals and for purifying the area.

Métché-Bassossia

It will take 20 minutes to reach the Bassossia cultural cave.
Visitors will be able to discover the site and enjoy the silence and the view of the environment that exposes a corner of the city of Bafoussam.
It's an ideal spot to nibble on a few delicacies.
At the end of this visit we return to Dschang.

Déjeuner

Back in Dschang, we will recharge our batteries with a meal.
There is a taro corner available for all, which the guide recommends to visitors.
There is a vast menu covering European and Cameroonian dishes.

Participants are met in the secure car park of the Museum of Civilisation by the guide. For large group outings, customers with their own vehicles can leave their vehicles there to return to the vehicle reserved for the occasion.
