Overview

The city of Maroua got its name from its first inhabitant called MARVA.
This name gave the name of Maroua because the colonizers found it easy to write Maroua.
This name gave the Mountain of Maroua mount MARVA, that is to say the Mountain of the first inhabitant.
During our hike you will discover the Guizigas, the indigenous people of the city of Maroua, who originate from the former Sudan and the Great Block of Mali.
