The island of Manoka was one of the strongholds of the First World War, but also one of the trading posts of the slave trade. Our activity gives you the opportunity to visit this wonderful place. You will enjoy a beautiful maritime trip in a rowboat on which we will cross the harbour and observe the Mangrove swamp of the coast; we will visit the beach of Manoka and especially, we will contemplate the colonial prison built by the Germans.
Sitting around a meal in the Parc des Princes, you will have the privilege to talk with King Bell about the Canton Bell dynasty and the history of the national hero Duala manga Bell.
We will spend approximately 4 hours in manoka visiting the island before returning to Douala for lunch.
