Overview

Oudjila, located in the Far North of Cameroon, is a unique village with a fascinating history. Its people are descendants of southern Sudanese migrants who settled on a hill, bringing with them sacred male and female stones. They’ve preserved their rich culture, including a ritual of raising a 2-year-old ox for a year before its ceremonial sacrifice.

During your visit, you’ll discover their traditional homes and enjoy three captivating dances performed by the king’s wives. After this cultural experience, you’ll head back to Maroua for the night.
