Overview

We offer nature lovers and walkers in particular a mountain break. It consists of a hiking activity lasting a maximum of 10 hours.
The activity takes place in the Moungo department, more specifically in the town of Melong. Departure is from 7 a.m. in the village of Mbouroukou, which offers accommodation and food for visitors the day before (optional extra). This activity will take you to landscapes that are different from your daily routine. Along the way, visitors will encounter animals such as cattle and horses, birds and butterflies. At an altitude of 2,200 m, visitors will be rewarded for their efforts with a breathtaking panoramic view of the crater of Mont Manengouba. Another 45-minute walk will take you to the twin lakes, where you can bathe in the calm waters of the female lake.

Visitors will be visited at the accommodation of their choice the day before for a briefing on the trekking camping programme. There are three accommodation providers in the village of Mbouroukou: villa luciole, villa Kléber and Muka Park. Once briefed, the guide and his team will meet the visitors.
