Overview

Discover the painful history of the liberation struggle in Cameroon as well as the heroic act of martyr Jacob Fossi. Jacob Fossi is one of the nationalist prisoners of the UPC political movement. He was sentenced to be thrown into the Metche water falls by French soldiers. On the day of his scheduled execution, knowing the fate that awaited him, he prepared a subterfuge to take one of his executioners down with him.

The Bandjoun Museum presents over a hundred major and significant objects from the cultural and artistic heritage of Bandjoun, one of the main centers of artistic creation and tradition in the Cameroonian Grassland. Among them are rare pieces, including some masterpieces of African art. They celebrate the splendor of the court of the Bandjoun kings, the greatness and power of these monarchs and their collaborators, as well as the solidity of the institutions.
