About

The Ebogo Tourist Center, located near Mbalmayo along the Nyong River, is a haven of peace for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of urban life. Accessible by car, Ebogo offers a multitude of outdoor activities: forest hikes, wildlife and flora observation, fishing, and canoe trips, providing full immersion in nature’s splendor.

Our site also stands out for its guided tours, including visits to the famous Kossipo tree, Parrot Island, and the mouth of the So’o. A canoe excursion on the Nyong River reveals the local village and botanical trail, enriching the experience with local cultural interactions.

For food enthusiasts, a stilted restaurant serves regional specialties, with meal reservations recommended. Those wishing to extend their stay will find comfortable and spacious accommodation options, while dedicated tourist guides are ready to enhance your visit.

In short, Ebogo is the perfect place to reconnect with nature, explore exceptional landscapes, and experience authentic moments, all within a welcoming and tranquil setting.

We did Ebogo right after our visit to the equatorial forest in Mbalmayo. Therefore due to time constraints, we were only able to do the short tour in Ebogo. Nevertheless, the little tour is wonderful, the tree of fertility and its history is beautiful. The guide, Alexis, made the tour very entertaining and fun. We would have loved to go on more tours with him. The nature, the Nyong river and the birds are overwhelming!
