The Bamendjou Museum boasts an impressive collection of over 3,000 works, some dating back to the 15th century. This treasure trove is showcased right from the entrance, thanks to the vast accessible reserve. It houses a memorable collection of photographs and artifacts still used in ceremonies within the chiefdom. The museum itself is divided into two main areas: the first is dedicated to culture and history, while the second, a workshop space, highlights the village’s artists, including the eminent Joseph Francis Sumégné, creator of the New Liberty statue in Douala.
