Overview

We offer a walk in rural areas for about 12 kilometers to discover the melodious cave of Ngoua. We present several landscapes filled with culture and history through sacred animist sites, colonial remains and at the end of the tour the visit of the Museum of Civilizations of Dschang. Enough to get you out of your daily routine and better understand the difference between the ethnic groups of Cameroon.

Assembly at the Museum of Civilization

This first stage brings all the participants together and prepares them for the start of the activity at 7.30hXNUMX

Visit of the German Lake 8

This is an artificial lake where German soldiers used to relax and sunbathe. The site has not been maintained and is tending to disappear.

Panoramic view of part of the city

This part of the walk offers a panoramic view of Campus C of the University of Dschang and the town's bilingual secondary school. You can also stop to enjoy the moment and collect all the positive energies that will be circulating around us at this moment.

Visit of the sacred site of the Godstone

It is a holy place for the local population, who obtain favours and graces from God by bringing offerings to their ancestors.

The melodious cave of Ngoua

The focal point of our walk is a visit to the cultural site of the Ngoua cave, a holy place for the local communities. The cave is unique in that it has a pool of water that visitors can use to refresh their faces as a way of purifying their souls.

Visit of the civilization museum of Dschang (Optional)

Return to the Museum of Civilisation, our starting point. For an additional fee, not included in this trip, we can visit the Museum of Civilisations, which exhibits Cameroon's 4 major cultural areas, giving you an insight into the immense diversity of Cameroon's tribes. Any extra costs for visiting the museum will be paid directly to the guide or to the Museum.

Visit of the Civilization Museum

It is a Musuem that gives you a view of the culture of the GRASSFIELD people in particular and Cameroon in general. A guided tour of the Museum takes approximately 2 hours. The museum contains unique artifacts and historical objects that will give you an overview of the different tribes of Cameroon, and how civilizations have evolved over time.
