Embark on a journey into the heart of the forest at the Ethnographic and History Museum of Forest Peoples, established in May 2005. This venue unveils the ancient secrets of forest civilizations right from the entrance, with its façade showcasing the Beti script, rich with 32 symbols, and a lunar calendar for all to admire. Nearby, a traditional clock demonstrates the ingenuity of forest peoples.

The museum also houses photographs of traditional leaders dressed in splendid costumes from the 1920s. The women’s hut, an authentic reproduction of a traditional dwelling made of straw and local wood species, captivates history enthusiasts. Every item in the museum, from the granary to the traditional bed, opens a doorway to the past, crafted from materials that withstand the test of time.
