Mount Makabai draws its history from a family fleeing the hostilities of the tribal wars to find refuge on the mountain named Mount Makabai.
The departure will be from the Hotel Porte Mayo, we will pass by some sites of the city of Maroua such as the house of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, the crossing of the Mayo Tsanaga, the market of makabai to reach the foot of the mountain where we will take a short break before the climb. We will continue with the ascension of the mountain on a duration of 5 hours (Variable according to the physical conditions of each participant). We will have a break at the summit to enjoy the panoramic view of the city of Maroua. In order to take full advantage of the city of Maroua, the descent will be done on a different path, passing by IBA Sangué, the fruit market and the divine mission massy. The total distance of our hike will be 7km round trip.
At your disposal you will have a qualified guide who will maintain you throughout the journey, a nurse, one or two water carriers in case of lack, sugar, salt and 1,5L of water per person.
