The visit of the palace is very informative and culturally very interesting. I recommend it. It’s too bad the new museum hasn’t been inaugurated yet I look forward to it. One remark: the visit of the artisanal village is a bit of a hustle.

Our plane arrived late and it was raining so we unfortunately couldn’t hike around the crater. A few comments: we had asked for an English-speaking guide but our guide, although very nice, didn’t speak much english. Also it would have been nice to get a more informative tour (e.g: how the crater appeared, the circonference of the crater, the history of the Bororo villages…).

We really enjoyed our time with the dance group. I thought I knew Mbol and Bikutsi haha, but the mom taught us so much, the sounds, the instruments and the moment of sharing. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to make the tales and wood-fired dinner proposed, so we’re going to get better prepared and come back to Ebolowa. A really rich learning experience.
